This dynamic competition presents a valuable opportunity for students to showcase their innovative solutions and strategic prowess. With a total prize pool of 10,000SR awaiting the top three teams, this competition promises to be a thrilling journey of creativity, collaboration, and impactful problem-solving.
Responsibilities and Requirements
Requirements:

Enrolled as an undergraduate student in a Riyadh-based university, Saudi Arabia.

Proficient in English at a working level and a Saudi citizen.

Proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing data effectively.

Demonstrated enthusiasm for addressing real-world business challenges through innovative problem-solving.

Strong organizational and time management skills to meet competition deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate ideas and recommendations clearly.

Mandatory team registration in groups of three to four students.

Conduct thorough research and analysis on the assigned case by SASCO

Present findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively in a presentation

In the case of withdrawal: participation in the hackathon requires notifying organizers of withdrawal and securing a replacement before leaving, ensuring a smooth transition for continued team collaboration..

Background: In the dynamic landscape of the gas station industry, the integration of emerging technologies presents a transformative opportunity to revolutionize the customer experience. Embracing the potential of emerging technologies can significantly enhance the overall customer experience, from fueling to retail services. Therefore, SASCO is seeking for technologically-powered solutions to optimize the customer experience in their gas stations.

Challenge: Develop an innovative and scalable idea for a solution (MVP) that effectively utilizes emerging technologies to enhance the customer experience within SASCO’s gas stations. The proposed solution should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of customer preferences and behaviors, while harnessing the capabilities of AI, IoT, Blockchain, or other relevant technologies.

Track 2: Elevating the Retail Customer Experience
Background: As SASCO aims to address the changing requirements of its diverse customer base, improving the retail experience has become a pivotal priority being one of the main revenue streams from the gas stations. SASCO focuses on delivering a smooth and satisfying retail experience and this can be evidenced through the variety of retail stores that are always present in their gas stations. Consequently, they are actively searching for innovative solutions that can elevate the retail experience at their gas stations.

Challenge: Develop a comprehensive strategy to elevate the overall customer experience in the retail section of SASCO's gas stations. The proposed solution should integrate a customer-centric approach that caters to the unique preferences and requirements of customers.
